Our story.

From our first cooking workshops in Kent to the celebrations we create today.

Our journey, 2007 to 2026 ↓

Small beginnings.
So much to celebrate.

It started with Caroline,
a home kitchen
& a love of cooking.

Our story began in 2007, with cooking workshops, our first wedding and the beginnings of a business here in Kent. Since then, a renovated farm store, new venue partnerships and a growing team have all played their part.

Food runs through every chapter. So do the people who make it, serve it and invite us to be part of their celebrations.

Our story, so far.

2007

A village hall. A first wedding.

Caroline founded the business at home in Kent in 2007. Our earliest days were spent sharing a love of cooking through workshops at Iwade village hall, before taking those workshops to the Brogdale Apple Festival.

It was there that we met Tony Hillier, who encouraged us to take the next step: open a kitchen of our own by renovating an old farm store. That same year, we prepared our first wedding using our home kitchen and the local village hall.

2008

A kitchen. A new partnership.

In May 2008, Brogdale Farm Kitchen opened, just in time! The old farm store had become our first dedicated kitchen, giving the business a place to grow.

That same year, we began our sole catering and bar contract at Bradbourne House. With a kitchen of our own and a new venue partnership, it was a significant step forward.

2009

Our Mount Ephraim chapter.

In 2009, we began our sole catering and bar partnership at Mount Ephraim House and Gardens.

Another beautiful Kent setting became part of our story, as we continued to build the business from our Brogdale kitchen.

2010

A monster of a television moment.

In 2010, we appeared on the television series Monster Munchies, taking on a dessert on an extraordinary scale. It used more than 2,500 apples, 80kg of sugar and bucketloads of blackberries.

Almost four metres long, it was so heavy that a lorry was needed to carry it to the judge’s table. Even the cooking called for something bigger: a JCB digger excavated the pit that became our makeshift oven.

2013

Paul joins the story.

Paul joined us in 2013 as Sous Chef, becoming Head Chef in 2015 and Executive Chef in 2020. His drive, commitment and love of food have helped shape Anderson’s into the business it is today.

Paul is at the heart of our success. We would not be the business we are today without him.

2018

Ten years at Brogdale.

A decade after opening Brogdale Farm Kitchen, we celebrated ten amazing years.

An opportunity to look back at the workshops, our first wedding and the people and places that had become part of our story.

2019

A new chapter at Winters Barns.

Already the sole caterer at Winters Barns, we took over the bar service in 2019, bringing the food and drinks together under one team.

It was a new chapter in a relationship built over many weddings, and a venue that continues to be an important part of our story.

The Wedding Industry Awards

2026

From our first wedding
to national winners.

In 2025, we won Regional Caterer of the Year at The Wedding Industry Awards, before going on to win the national award in 2026.

A proud moment in a story that began with cooking workshops and a wedding prepared at home. A moment to celebrate our team, and everyone who has been part of the journey.

And today

Good food.
Good people.
More to come.

Today, Anderson’s brings together chefs, event managers, bar teams and the people working behind the scenes to make each celebration happen.

From the first conversation to the final plate, it is a team effort. We would love you to meet the people who are writing our next chapter.
