You have personally been so accommodating and flexible this entire planning process, from us wanting to have sharing platters then individual courses, to when we were running nearly an hour behind and needed the wedding meal to be cut much shorter. We personally know it was no easy feat to do that, but you and the team did it so seamlessly and effortlessly that our guests would never have known! Of course, a huge thank you to the team as well as our guests all told us how well fed they were (which is a rarity at most weddings), and how amazing the food was. After the food tasting we were left very excited with how amazing our food choices were, and on the day they did also not disappoint. The food and service was just perfect! On the day our catering manager was so lovely, and made us both feel like VIPS, always ensuring we had plenty of food with our canapes, wedding breakfast and evening food! Another person we would like to especially thank is Cameron from behind the bar. He was amazing and helped us all night (and his drinks were great). He stayed behind way longer than I’m assuming he was supposed to and organised loads of taxis when there were none showing up. He also gave 2 of our guests a lift to the premier inn in town as there were no more taxis arriving. This was extremely appreciated and was so kind of him. All our guests have commented on how amazing the day was and how lovely and helpful all the staff were! Everyone thought the venue was beautiful and very Christmassy! Overall all of you made our day perfect and we can’t thank you all enough. We do have a couple of pictures from our photographer but have not received them all just yet. “We got married at Marleybrook House in September 2020. It was a crazy year, but Scott Anderson Ltd, who catered the event, were always quick to respond and flexible, helping us to keep things as Covid-safe as possible. Caroline and her team are super friendly and helpful both on the phone and in person. They have a wide range of menus to choose from and lots of different styles of serving food from afternoon tea to hog roast. After a wonderful tasting we settled on the Bronze 3-course meal menu, but I had my heart set on the ham hock, so they kindly changed the starter for us. The fish cakes and brownies in particular were to die for. We also had funfair treats in the evening. Unfortunately, because of Covid we could not have them served the usual way in cinema-style trays, but we still received positive reviews from guests especially on the waffles and macaroni bites. On the day, staff checked on us the whole time to make sure everything was ok and that we were getting fed. They were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend Scott Anderson Ltd, Delicious, beautifully presented food and lovely staff.”

“Every plate that was served matched our high expectations from the tasting a year earlier and the only thing that could possibly distract from the quality of the food was the quality of the service - some of our guests were quite enthralled at how well organised and perfectly executed each course was brought to the table! Unlike some other weddings I've been to I don't think any table or individual was left behind at any point - it really was like having a fine dining experience but somehow catered for a whole room full of people. The canapés were also delicious - before the wedding one of our guests told us we'd never get a chance to try them because we'd be so busy despite us protesting that our caterer had promised to save us some - sure enough they were delivered to us personally by the catering manager at the earliest opportune moment.”

A guest who has been to many weddings said it was the best wedding food he had ever tasted and I think lots of people agreed with this. What they didn't necessarily see, were the things the team did behind the scenes to make sure the day ran smoothly. From checking we had the right number of tables, to meeting everyone's dietary requirements perfectly, our expectations were exceeded. Hannah and Mark were brilliant on the day. They helped us to decide what to do about the receiving line and the photographs which had to change because of the rain. Mark even stepped in to help with our whole wedding party photograph and to ask everyone to stand up for the bride and groom. However, we departed immediately after the wedding for the most wonderful honeymoon in Borneo and Hong Kong, following which I spent another three weeks playing rugby in Sydney, only returning this weekend. However, I can’t say enough about your absolutely pivotal role in it all. You and all your staff were outstanding in every sense of the word, both prior to and during the day. Mark personified calm professionalism. He couldn’t do enough for us. His expertise was totally reassuring and his polite, attentive efficiency was reflected throughout all the staff. Everything about the service that they provided was slick and they did it all with a smile on their faces. As for the wedding food – what can I say – amazing. High end restaurant presentation and quality delivered to 130 people at an outside venue – absolutely incredible. Absolutely all the guests went out of their way to say how impressed they were. Perhaps most telling was a friend of ours who has been an events manager for many years dealing at the top end of celebrity and corporate entertainment. “Our feet are nearly back on the ground now after a fabulous honeymoon in Amalfi! We just wanted to give you some feedback re the catering arrangements at our wedding. After you visited our house (what seems like an age ago) for us to have a trial we must admit to thinking we wouldn''t get the same quality food on the actual day, given the difference in numbers involved! We have both been to big events where the caterers have struggled to this effect. However, we & our guests were delighted with both the quality and the service given on the day. You really run a professional service there, but with a personal touch, and there is nothing that we could say could have been improved. One of our guests runs his own catering company for blue chip clients in the city & he said he was very impressed with the food and service on the day (which is high praise indeed from him!) so please give both your waiting staff & yourselves a huge pat on the back from us. Not only did you provide a wedding breakfast that was of the highest quality, but you went way beyond the call of duty to ensure that every single aspect of the service you delivered was completely outstanding. When we first met you, we knew we were in good hands, and were confident that you would be a cut above the rest. Choosing you as our caterers was the best decision we could have made; nothing was too much trouble for you, and you made the build up to the wedding a really pleasurable experience. Everything went to plan because of the huge amount of time and effort that you put into thoroughly organising and planning our wedding reception. We strongly believe that the end result would not have been as good with any of the other caterers we had considered. In our experience no-one else was prepared to tailor their service to meet our exact requirements, or demonstrate the ability to maintain a high enough level of communication throughout the planning process. It was not only Louise and I that had the time of our lives though; all of our friends and family were blown away too.
