Chefs

Job Type: FT/ Casual/ SE

Job Description:

As a fast growing prestigious outside caterer we require full time, casual labour or self employed chef de parties to head chefs to help build our culinary team.

You will be responsible for the smooth running and execution of large and small events with a team of chefs to support you. We are looking for dynamic, disciplined chefs with outside catering experience to join a highly motivated brigade. You will be professional, confident and have a welcoming personality. You will have the ability to work under pressure and have experience working in a production kitchen.

You must have you own transport and ideally a clean driving license due to occasionally driving a company vehicle.

We require candidates who have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for the events industry. You must have good knowledge of food and great attention to detail.

We are appointed sole caterers for our exclusive partner venues and approved caterers at many other prestigious venues in Kent we also provide catering for high end private clients in their houses and marquees.

Successful candidates will be encompassing the following as part of their role:-

• Kitchen management for 20 – 500 plus covers (hands on experience of this is essential)
• Excellent experience in outside catering or banqueting
• Fantastic organisational skills
• Hands on
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to extraordinary conditions
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent computer skills
• Originality: Able to create exciting new dishes and contribute dishes for the seasonal tasting and other events
• Innovative: keen to explore new food techniques, methods and presentation
• Must be able to communicate in a positive, professional, and courteous manner, both verbal and written, with all employees and others
• Ability to lead the team as required at an event or in a given project

In terms of background, you will need to have worked in 5 star conference and/or hotel/venues or for a respected organisation or Outside Event Caterer for at least three years. You will be classically trained in most culinary techniques, and you will be supervising a team of casual staff employees and agency staff.

• 3 years event experience in 5 star hotels in conference and banqueting/ event caterer
• Experience with private dining

• Excellent organisational skills/a real eye for detail
• Self-motivated and disciplined
• Strong Health and Safety and First Aid Qualification, strong knowledge of H/R and Legal Right to work in E.U.(Documentary proof will be needed and references required)

Event Managers

Job Description:

As a fast growing prestigious outside caterer we require Event Managers to take control of the functions side the business with a strong trade in Weddings, Corporate Events and Private Parties. We require candidates who have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for the events industry. You must have good knowledge of food and wine and have great attention to detail.

We are appointed sole caterers for our exclusive partner venues and approved caterers for many other prestigious venues in Kent we also provide catering for high end private clients in their houses and marquees. The main purpose of the role is to create a wonderful client experience, and to ensure that all planning and coordination is delivered in operations on the day as per agreements. You will have overall responsibility for presentation/health and safety and guest welfare.

The successful candidates will be encompassing the following as part of their role:-

• Following up and converting sales leads using the online contact management system
• Client liaison from start to finish including meeting with clients to discuss their requirements
• File management
• Wedding planning and co-ordination
• Staffing
• Event Management for 20 – 500 plus covers (hands on experience of this is essential)
• Representing the company at exhibitions/marketing fairs
• Planning new promotions and initiatives, and contributing to business development

In terms of background, you will need to have worked in 5 star conference and/or hotel/venues or for a respected organisation or Outside Event Caterer for at least three years. You will be financially astute, immaculately presented and be able to develop the client experience. You will be classically trained in all service techniques, and you will be supervising a team of casual staff employees and agency staff. You will also be responsible for their training and development. The salary on offer is £negotiable. In the main this is a 7 day operation, and as many events will take place at the weekend this will be the norm for your working week.

Bartenders

Job Type: Part Time/ Casual (Seasonal)

Job Description:

As a fast growing prestigious outside caterer we require experienced bartenders to work on the bar at our exclusive venues, Winters Barns and Mount Ephraim and Private Marquees. We require experienced bartenders who have a detailed knowledge of the bar operation, wine service and a passion for excellent customer service. Cocktail experience preferable.

We are appointed sole caterers for our exclusive partner venues and approved caterers for many other prestigious venues in Kent, we also provide catering for high end private clients in their houses and marquees. You will provide the highest standard of customer service whilst ensuring the smooth operation of the bar during an event.

The successful candidate will be encompassing the following as part of their role:-

• Organisation of the bar
• Setting up and closing down the bar
• Serving guest drinks and preparation/ assembly of pre-ordered drinks packages
• Preparing and serving cocktails
• Cleaning of the bar area
• Cashing up the till (experience of this is essential)
• Stocktaking (experience not essential as full training will be given)

In terms of background, you will need to have worked behind a bar for at least one year. You will have a solid knowledge of bar drinks. You will be immaculately presented and able to deliver exceptionally high standards of customer service. Remuneration is dependent on previous experience and knowledge of the industry. You will report to the Bar Manager/ Event Manager on site.

You will be required to have smart black trousers and black non-slip comfortable leather shoes. We will provide a shirt, tie/bow tie and waiters apron. If you match the following criteria, then this position may be for you:-

The successful candidate will be encompassing the following as part of their role:-

• Setting up/ clearing down the venue including chairs, tables, tablecloths, cutlery, napkins, flowers and favours
• Serving c anapés to guests
• Serving meals to tables and clearing away plates
• Serving guest drinks
• Glass collecting
• All training will be provided

We are appointed sole caterers for our exclusive partner venues and approved caterers for 5 other prestigious venues in Kent we also provide catering for high end private clients in their houses and marquees.

The successful candidate will be encompassing the following as part of their role:-

• Ensuring the kitchen and all the equipment is maintained to the highest hygienic standard
• Washing up / loading and unloading dishwasher
• Thorough cleaning of all areas
• Assisting chefs with plating up
• Sweeping and mopping of the floor
• Taking kitchen bins out
• Ad hoc duties
• All training provided
